Well, that’s a full lid on Q1.
This past quarter we’ve been doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work on the platform to improve everything from how we run test suites across multiple environments to how we inform you that a release is ready to go. Who says back end is boring?
The QA team has also been developing some pretty groundbreaking techniques (if I say so myself) for testing generative AI-powered features and apps.
And in the city of lights, our very own Muvaffak Onus captivated hundreds at KubeCon Paris with talk of K8 pods. Bon temps were had by all.

(Much improved) support for separate environments
For customers who are running their tests on multiple environments, we now have unique versions of each test tailored for the environment configurations. The upshot for you is faster maintenance and bug reporting. If you’re not already testing on multiple environments, reach out to your Customer Success Manager to learn more.
Tests for genAI outputs
We’ve been developing ways to get deterministic (pass or fail) results on genAI-powered products and features. This isn’t model testing, it’s testing the actual UX and whether the user is getting back what they asked for. As you make changes, you’ll be able to measure the impact on the user experience.
Green light endpoint API v0
We replaced our internal graphql endpoint with a more stable and reliable Green Light Endpoint. You can use this versioned API in your CI to decide whether to release. Based on how you configure it, you can take into account whether tests have been investigated or the bugs are considered “blocking.”
Support for environments on VPN
If you’re planning to move your testing environment onto a VPN, your QA lead or Customer Success Manager can make the necessary changes.
QA Wolf in Paris
Staff Engineer and all around great guy, Muvaffak Onus, was at KubeCon Paris where he showed off the Kubernetes controller that orchestrates snapshot and recovery of our test-running spot instances. If you’re a fan of node-to-node transfers this talk is for you.
Bracket madness
For the moment, QA Wolf’s Head of Customer Experience, Laura Cressman, leads the Howlin’ Hoopsters fantasy bracket. When asked about her strategy, Laura responded “lol.”
Our event series brings together product, engineering, design, and QA leaders for good food and good conversation. Stay on the look out for events in your city!
